Dirty, Drunk and a Bad Case of the Munchies

Anyone who knows me is well aware of the fact that I don’t have TV. I own a television but I stopped the brain drain that is cable about 8 years ago. Believe me I got my fill in college and I can honestly say No, I don’t miss it…well maybe PBS, Discovery & the History channel but that is about it. Besides you can find just about anything online or it can be rented through Blockbuster and Netflix, which I don’t have.

A fellow coworker is obsessed with two shows. One being Hoarders, the other, Intervention. After several weeks of her saying “did you see…oh right, you don’t watch TV” then proceeding to tell me that episodes events I finally got onto Hulu and searched for those two shows. Last weekend I got my fill of both and honestly, all I wanted to do was take a shower, smoke a joint and drink a few beers. I’m sorry, is that wrong?

  1. I don't think it's strange you don't have cable and rarely watch TV. Personally, I think I watch too much TV but hey, that's my vice. However, as far as Hoarders and Intervention go, after watching Hoarders, I want to go clean something. After watching Intervention, I always feel really good about myself! šŸ™‚

  2. When I tell people I don't have TV they look at me like I have 3 heads! hahaha Honestly, with all of my sewing/crafting/quilting/canning and growing my food, plus working for "The Man" I don't have the extra time. It would be nice to just sit there with a bit of mindless entertainment but I'd rather be productive! šŸ™‚

  3. I don't have television either! people find it so odd. I have a t.v. and dvd player but that's all it's used for. Nice to hear someone else who finds it the same. Sometimes I like watching something while at a friends house, but usually I feel like I've just wasted time.
